Aedes albopictus is a new invasive species that has recently inhabited Southern California.
Monday, June 7th was the first positive test for West Nile virus (WNV) in Los Angeles County by San Gabriel Valley Mosquito & Vector Control District The creature in question (SGVMVCD) was the carcass of a crow collected in South Pasadena.
